Thanks so much for visiting the Just Giving Page. I usually do these fundraisers 2 times per year and cannot wait to get this one started.  

As an independent charity (charity number 223367), Altrincham Cheshire RSPCA branch relies very much on fundraising events to be able to continue their work.  Hopefully we can make this one a huge success!!

I started doing fostering for the branch a few years ago and since then my involvement with the branch has grown. I really do love it. There are some amazing people who volunteer so much time to provide care for the animals in the branch. With no rescue centre and a lot (and I mean a lot!) of animals coming through the branch, volunteers work really hard caring for them in their homes.

There are many mouths to feed and many vet bills to pay - as you can imagine, not all of the animals arrive in the best way and need a lot of care and attention. Just a few facts about the work the branch does:

•  I currently have in foster care in my home - 3 rabbits, 4 guinea pigs and 2 mice, and I love it!
• The branch cares for a huge variety of animals from cats, dogs and rabbits to African pygmy hedgehogs and African land snails :)
• Some animals really struggle to find homes and can need care with the fosterers for many years.
• Vet costs in 2019 were approx. £41,000 which is massive! This fundraiser is a huge contribution to this essential treatment.
• The branch has 1 member of staff only with 130 very dedicated volunteers!

Many of the animals arriving with the branch would not have been given a chance if it wasn't for the dedication of the volunteers and the people working with them.  The more we can raise for them, the more they can continue to provide this very special support to our furry friends in need.
