Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may or may not know i am going away again to Tanzania to do a medical project. However this isnt the sole reason of my visit this time. I will also be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of a really beautiful and special place, near my home, called Derian House.

Derian House is a children's hospice, near to my home, which provides specialist palliative care for terminally ill children and warm and sensitive respite care for their families in a “home from home” environment. Children and their families can embrace support and friendship offered through the hospice.

Derian House also provides 'Bereavement Support' for each family for as long as required, giving recognition to the need to never forget.

Although inncoent childrens lives are tragically cut short, Derian House ensure that they lead as full and normal a life as possible by offering them the optimum support to cope with their illness, along with the best possible medical care , and as much fun and laughter as they can pack into every single day!!!

This place would not be able to run and stay open without fundraisers and sponsors. So it is so important we do all we can to support this wonderful place.

This really is a very ,very special place, which I have visited often. To  see the children laughing and enjoying life, even though they are so poorly, makes me so determined to do everything I can to help support this special place (and I know that's what I'll be thinkin of when I'm trying to get to the top of that mountain!!!).
