UPDATE NUMBER 2: Reached my new target of £350 in less than a week. So pleased. Mum is going to arrange my haircut but I'd love to see how much I can raise so am adding another £100 to my target. Thanks again for all the support.
UPDATE: In less than 24 hours I nearly reached my original target of £150 so I've decided to see if I can raise enough for a wig - the cost starts at £350. Thanks for all your support.
Hi everyone
I decided to grow my hair long so I could get it cut and send my red curls to the Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children who have lost their hair because of chemotherapy. I know little girls love to play with their hair so losing it because of cancer must be hard.
As well as cutting my hair and sending it off to be (hopefully) made into a wig I've decided to try and raise some money for the Little Princess Trust too because it costs at least £350 to provide a wig for a child and they get asked for more wigs than they can currently provide.
I'm getting at least 7 inches of hair cut off (maybe 8 or 9) - I'll be doing the deed as soon as I reach my fundraising target. If you can, please donate £1 for every inch of hair - that would be great!
