Those of you who have followed our Father & Son channel will have heard Damani, Ant's son, tell the story of how his dad came from being homeless to where he is today. Watch the video above to learn more.

We wanted to use our small platform to do what good we can, helping those facing the streets this December. We're doing this by raising money for Shelter, a charity that helps people avoid or find their way out of homelessness.

At first we were just going to quietly donate some money. Then we thought – we have a platform, it's a small platform, but we should use it. 

We felt bad asking people for donations, knowing how tough so many people are finding things right now, so we thought – what if there was a way to raise money without needing anyone to actually donate?!
(Of course people are free to donate if they feel able to)

That's when we had the idea – if we could find more people who would enjoy our videos to watch them, we could give any YouTube money that generated in December to Shelter. So, we grabbed a camera and quickly recorded a video, contacted Shelter's fundraising team, and here we are.

Minutes watched, means more money for Shelter...
Our channel is just over a year old. It is now making money from ad revenue that YouTube shares with us when people watch the ads on our videos. YouTube also shares a proportion of Premium subscriptions with us. Both of these income streams are based mainly on watch-time on our channel (not view counts)!

So, in January, we'll be giving all our December 2020 YouTube earnings to Shelter (subject to any tax). This means, that the more of our videos you watch beginning to end, the more we can give to Shelter.

To get things rolling we've donated double our 2020 earnings up to the end of November via this very JustGiving page. We're only a small channel so it's not a huge sum, but it's a start!
