Hope House & Ty Gobaith

Hope House Hospice operate two centres -Ty Gobaith, in Conwy; and Hope House, in Oswestry. Their main purpose is to provide care and support to life limited children and their families.

In addition to this they offer a wide array of services to the wider community providing such things as counselling for children who have been through traumatic situations, ongoing care for permanently ill children/young adults as well as respite for parents/families of the unwell children.

Ty Gobaith on its own, now provides regular periods of respite care to more than 70 terminally ill children and their families living in the North Wales area. The care provided is priceless.

‘I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to come to terms with the worst possible news,’ said one mother whose son visits Ty Gobaith. ‘It gives us chance to breathe and to be an ordinary family with our other children. I don’t know what we would do without Ty Gobaith.’

The hospice is run along similar lines to its sister hospice, Hope House, but is sensitive to the needs of the local population, many of whom speak Welsh as a first language.

Hope House & Ty Gobaith require £4.2 million a year to operate and provide care for the children and their families, so please dig deep and help out a worthy cause!
