Story
Get set for some Half-Term family fun!
Through the first couple of months of Lockdown, we staged a series of virtual quiz nights to help St Luke's Hospice stay connected to supporters across Cheshire.
We had lots of great feedback from people saying they looked forward to their midweek multiple-choice mindbenders!
We are holding a Half-Term Family Quiz on Wednesday 28th October 2020 from 8pm to 9pm, and we'd love you to join us.
It's 100% FREE to take part and there is no need to register - simply join us on the night on our main facebook page:
www.facebook.com/stlukescheshirehospice
30 general knowledge questions, all multiple choice (A, B or C style) and all you need is a pen and paper to take part.
Pit your wits against family and friends, as well as the hundreds of St Luke's supporters across the area. It's very much 'just for fun' although you can also email our answer sheets for official marking - details on the night!
So WHY are we doing this?
2 reasons really, both equally important...
Engagement - As the nights draw in, we are really keen to reach out to all of our supporters, patients, families and volunteers to enjoy a little light relief at this testing time. Just by checking in with everyone for an hour and doing an activity to keep us occupied, this has to be a positive thing.
Fundraising - Despite the majority of our charity shops reopening and some truly stunning support from local people and workplaces, we still face the challenge of generating funds so that we can continue to provide care for patients and their families, free of charge. This Quiz is simply a new way to try to raise funds :)
Any donation you can give at this time would be most appreciated
Thank you for your support and best wishes,
Andy and the St Luke's Fundraising Team
Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness. We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
