Hi, my name is Skye Wilson. I'm 14 years old and am soon to take part in the Great North Swim on Lake Windermere. It was my decision that I would raise money for MacMillan as I was doing the swim anyway. I felt it would be good to do it for a cause, other than to prove to myself, family and friends that I am mad enough to do it. One of my dearest friends is suffering from cancer and is currently being supported by MacMillan. After her and her family being so brave through this time I felt I could do my part to show my support for them. In the past few years my family and friends have been touched by cancer in many ways, some with happy endings some with not. But MacMillan have been there supporting all the time. So I would like to support MacMillan and the excellent work they do and will continue to do.
