I have chosen The Survivors Trust as my charity in order to raise awareness and support individuals that have been, or currently are being affected by rape and sexual abuse. Rape and sexual abuse can be committed against anyone regardless of their age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, culture or social status. Living with the consequences of rape and sexual abuse can be devastating and The Survivors Trust is a charity which gives victims somebody to trust, to find comfort in and to know that eventually, everything will be ok.
