In march 2022 our life’s crashed around us as a family gez had been unwell back and forth to the doctors for over a year constantly coughing, breathless at the slightest activity and just generally feeling not great within himself we fought with gp for over a year to be taken seriously for a nurse to notice things weren’t right with him she then fought his corner got him to a respiratory consultant who gez went to see alone as he thought it wasn’t anything to be overly worried about to be sat in the hospital alone to be told he had pulmonary fibrosis disease, live expectancy with this awful disease is 2-5 years without transplant that not everyone meets the criteria for sadly, also this disease is not well know or spoken about so to feel like every single day fighting for your loved one is mental exhausting and upsetting but more needs to be done for families like ours! We have two children gez has a son to a previous relationship then our daughter ada who is only 3 who looks after her daddy so well. Gez is now on oxygen pretty much 24/7 can no longer work due to his condition for anybody that knows gez working was his live he would go out six days a week to give his kids the best of everything every little counts to help the freeman hospital of heart and lung transplant look after people who desperately depend on a transplant please even £1 is a massive help to this great cause ❤️
