Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I am riding in the London-Surrey 100 on August 2nd 2015, a 100 mile race based on the Olympic cycle route. For those of you who know me, you probably know I love cycling! And I love to challenge myself! The London-Surrey 100 is particularly exciting because it starts in the Olympic Park, passes through iconic points in London, continues all along through beautiful green-leafy Surrey and finishes in London again, at the Mall.
I am riding to support Chinmaya Mission. A humanitarian, educational and spiritual organisation which serves to empower all individuals to live to their highest possibility. The foundation for this empowerment and transformation is found in Vedanta.
Vedanta is an ancient system of philosophy from India, based on logical enquiry, deep reflection, and a passionate search for the truth leading to true independence and inner transformation. At its heart, Vedanta could be described as a philosophy of oneness, where love is cultivated for all creatures and humanity.
The work of the organisation is so vast, extending from providing valuable health care services in India, to educating and raising children holistically, to uplifting rural communities, to sharing Vedanta with people from all walks of life, all over the world. It is an incredible privilege to participate in something I love and that in turn challenges me, all for a wonderful cause!
