Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
They say that 60 is the new 40 so, now that I've reached 40 (!), I'm going to do a couple of things I've never done before. One is Walk the Walk - on 19th June, I'm going to join thousands of women (and some men) and take part in the Edinburgh MoonWalk. My team, the Jammie Dodgers (don't ask!) is Helen Grant, Linda Anderson, my twin sister Fiona Guest and me, and the aim of the walk is to raise money for breast cancer projects in Scotland. We will set off from Inverleith Park at midnight to power walk a half marathon (13.1 miles) - yes, I'm going to be walking the streets of Edinburgh - in the dark, in my bra! The other is to ask you to sponsor me.
Like it or not, most of us know someone who has been, or is currently, affected by breast cancer. The goal is to raise £3 million for this very worthwhile cause. So please, dig deep and donate now. And if you want to find out more about how the money is used visit the website www.walkthewalk.org
Look forward to hearing from you.
