Story

Cancer is one of the  world's biggest killers. It is the leading cause of worldwide deaths.Cancer accounted for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020 alone.

We are very fortunate that we live in a country where we have Alhumdullilah remarkable doctors and nurses that help play a really big role in helping fight cancer that affects adults aswell as children.

Children with cancer here in the UK are generally cured. Overall children with cancer have a good prognosis when compared with adults.

Unfortunately most children in the poorer regions of the world don’t get the chance to have the curative treatment we have here. As little as 10% of these children are cured; here in the UK 80% of children are cured. In my bid to help these children with chemotherapy and pain relief that they need to fight these terrible diseases, I am collecting donations for "World Child Cancer” this Ramadan.

World Child Cancer improves diagnosis, treatment and care for children with cancer in low and middle income countries.

Please help give these children to have a chance at life. Cancer can affect anyone.

Every donation no matter how small will be given to World Child Cancer to help these children fight the biggest fight of their lives.

Children fighting cancer is something that is close to my heart. As many of my friends and family are aware, my youngest daughter was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in June 2019.
It was a devastating shock for us as a family. We knew nothing of the diagnosis with our immediate thoughts being the worst...our daughter has cancer and we were going to loose her.

Little did we know that Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) is the most common form of childhood cancers and one of the most curable cancers out there. At the time our future with our daughter was a blur. The word cancer just stuck in our heads. For any parent that can relate to us it was as though our world had come to an end.

But after receiving an initial round of chemotherapy our daughter reached remission SubhanAllah.

It's coming to nearly two years this summer and In sha Allah her treatment will finish this October. This has been an eye opener to say the least.

Please take a moment to think about the less fortunate children around the world that rely on donations from individuals like us. Don’t let cancer be the end to their precious lives.

Jazak Allah Khair

In low- and middle-income countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics hospitals and parent support groups
