Shaun Willis - Air Ambulance Charity

Unfortunately my Dad, Shaun Willis passed away on the 14th May 2022. In his memory we are raising money for the Great Western Air Ambulance, as a motocross rider we know the dangers of the sport and the Air Ambulance service are always there when we need them the most.
GWAAC provide emergency care to the 2.1 million people across North Somerset, Bristol, BANES, South Gloucestershire and parts of Wiltshire. Attending an average of 5 patients a day, GWAAC’s priority is to get to the patient fast, bringing the level of care and specialist equipment only usually found in a hospital.
The crew respond to the most serious of incidents, from cardiac arrests to road traffic collisions and can perform a range of lifesaving interventions including blood transfusions, amputations, and anaesthetics. In 2021, 251 patients in North Somerset were attended by the GWAAC helicopter or one of their 3 critical care cars and 68 missions have already been undertaken in the region since the beginning of this year.
With each mission costing an average of £2,000 and with £4 million annual running costs, GWAAC is funded almost entirely by charitable donations from supporters across the region as they receive no day to day funding from the government.
