Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I want to raise as much money and awareness as possible for this charity. I know how hard it is to find support when you're suffering with this illness; I have it myself. Myalgic Encephalomyelitis isn't taken as seriously as it should be, and there needs to be more research into treatment!

I was diagnosed in the summer holidays, just before I started school in 2012.

This illness ruined my GCSEs and has stopped me from working, someone who used to love athletics and cross country is now stuck at home in bed most days. I have to suffer for the days I go out or go to college, and it. Just. Is. Not. Right. for anyone to have to be limited to their bed or their home.

With more research, I am hoping there will be treatment - but for that to happen there need to be funds.

I am actually excited to be shaving my hair off!

All I ask is that you donate however much you can afford or join in with fundraising! I appreciate each and every donation made, thank you all so, so much.

Keep fighting, M.E. warriors. We CAN do this.

At Action for M.E. we're working to end the ignorance, injustice and neglect experienced by men, women and children with M.E. We provide a lifeline of support to thousands of people each year, campaign to raise awareness of M.E. and work to encourage more high-quality biomedical research.
