We all know someone (or are that someone) who has been personally affected by cancer.
For people here in Scotland, The Beatson is a place many will be familiar with.
As with all charities, they'd be unable to continue their amazing work without fundraising. On 26th August, thousands (incl. me!) are doing the 'Off The Beatson Track' walk in Glasgow but I've been thinking about how else I could help

So I've decided to get my hair shaved off.

There, I've said it, no backing out now.
Being the notorious over-thinker that I am, I was worried about this being seen as frivolous or insulting to people who have lost their hair (unwillingly) due to traumatic cancer treatment.
But with the blessing of 2 friends who are currently going through/just finished treatment, I'm going to do it.
My plan is to start the walk with hair and nip into the barbers on the way round!

After dying my hair for 30 years, I wonder how many shades of grey I'll be!
