Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2024 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

After having surgery on my spine last year and feeling pretty useless afterwards I've signed up for a proper, gritty challenge. not even sure how I am going to be able to complete it but I'll not get out of the pool until its done one way or another.

The total distance is 5000m, that's 200 lengths of a 25m pool.

i'll be taking on the challenge on Friday 26th April at the Raich Carter centre in Sunderland.

feel free to come and count the laps, shout encouragement and all that, but most importantly please donate a little amount, thanks!
