Story

Well last year I raised over £4,000 cycling from Stornoway to Lochboisdale for the STV Appeal.

This year my cycle is a little less with a cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, although this time I have to pull along a doggy trailer with my mum's dog Jock in it!

As part of this year's challenge Jock will be taking part in the Scottish Kennel Club agility show at Inglistion.

My challenege, the 60 mile cycle, will be on Friday 24th August along the canal route and you're welcome to come out an donate to our challenge along the way. There will be some scheduled stops too that you can come and see us. More details of these stops will appear on this page next week. The end of the route will also be announced next week where everyone is welcome to come and welcome us in Edinburgh.

Jock's challenge is on Saturday the 25th August when he'll be tested on his agility by taking on the Scottish Kennel Club's agility course at their show at Ingliston. Jock is just a wee family dog and is used to being the centre of attention, but not quite at something like this! I am taking him to classes at The Pet Behaviour Centre in Cambuslang where he is learning all the bits of equipment.

I am very nervous about this challenge as this year it's not all down to just me but also how Jock performs on the day too.

I hope you can dig deep and make a donation to us as we prepare for our big weekend at the end of the month. Remember every penny we raise stays in Scotland and will make a big difference to Scottish children and communities.

Thanks to the Debt Advisory Centre Scotland for their very kind support, sponsor and donation of £3,000. It's a great start and hopefully we'll way outdo the amount raised last year in my challenge!

You can come and meet us and donate on Friday 24th August during the cycle along the canal path from Glasgow to Edinburgh. Below is a plan of the route along with estimated times -
