SciBabe's Very Belated Ice Bucket Challenge

SciBabe's Very Belated Ice Bucket Challenge · 8 July 2017
My friend and fitness writer James Fell just did his ice bucket challenge to honor a friend of his who is in her late stages of fighting ALS. As I never did this two years ago and James challenged me to take the ice bucket challenge a bit late, I couldn't say no.
I'm putting the same twist on this that James did. For every $1,000 that's donated, I will take an additional bucket of ice. If you know how much I hate the cold- and I moved across the country to Los Angeles from the icy tundra of Boston to escape the cold- this is not something I'm going to enjoy. I highly doubt this will raise more than $10k, but if it does I'm capping it there. Mainly because I'd have to hunt down ten bucket-type things. ;)
I'll be streaming the video live from my birthday party on July 8th. Please check into fb.com/scibabe for exact time, but I will aim for 8pm PST.
Yes indeed, the guests at my party will be dumping buckets of ice on me for your entertainment and for charity. The more you help fund the research of the wonderfully brilliant scientists working on combatting ALS, the more you get to see me whine and sob with each and every bucket. So... what are you waiting for? Donations via this site go directly to The ALS Association. Please donate, and I'll see you, shivering, wet, and probably regretting this on July 8th!
