Story

Please read this, it’s for a REALLY good cause – It must be if I’m willing to put myself through the equivalent of the London to Brighton bike ride, THREE TIMES back to back over three days!! – Crazy I know!

Starting on 19th June 2013, I am taking part in a 225kms bike ride in France; along with 9 other work colleagues, where we’ll be cycling from Paris to Orleans via Fontainebleau to raise money for my chosen charity Chestnut Tree House. As a company we will also be raising money for  8 other  local hospices and Sightsavers International through sponsorship from our companies clients.

Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions team have raised over £75,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £100,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 over the next four years from our cycling fundraising.

For my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise £500+ for Chestnut Tree House. Obviously I would love to be able to exceed this target.

Chestnut rely on the local community not only for fund raising but for volunteering as well. A large part of the hospice is run solely by Volunteers so without contributions of time as well as money they wouldn’t be able to continue.

It is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.

Completed in 2003, the hospice provides a 'home from home' environment with 10 children's bedrooms plus eight family rooms, a wet and dry play area, computer and music rooms, a multi sensory room and hydrotherapy pool. The house is set in beautiful gardens within an area of outstanding natural beauty.

There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.

Cellular Solutions will match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000.  Our overall total fundraising target for the event is £30,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.

Please dig deep, every single penny is hugely beneficial and will be massively appreciated.
