Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my twin brother Stephen Ambury....it really means a lot to me xx

On the 31-05-2010 I will be running in the Bupa London 10K in memory of my much loved & missed twin brother Stephen.

I have chosen "The Mental Health Foundation"  because very sadly Stephen suffered with clinical depression for a large part of his life.

All of the mental health issues that Stephen had to deal with were caused by our very unhappy and difficult childhood and this was a big burden that Stephen found very hard  to cope with at times.

Tragically it all became just too much and on 11-08-09 Stephen took his own life........

As you can imagine I am completly and utterly devastated by my loss and this is why I want to raise some money in his memory. If the money I raise can help just one person and prevent another tragic suicide then it will all be worth it.

Although Stephen suffered terrible turmoil in his younger days everybody that had the good fortune to know him and be his friend would never have guessed this......Stephen was a Very Happy, Very funny, Very Thoughtful, Very Kind, Very Generous and a Very Handsome man. Stephen was also THE BEST Twin, Brother, Husband, Dad, Uncle and a utterly true and loyal friend to so many.......

I know that he is truly missed by so many.... I miss him more than words can say xx

Safe in our Mummy's arms now xx

I know that my twin brother Stephen would be very proud of me and I will be thinking of him at every step of the way xx

Running in this race will also be a personal battle for me because in 2008 I was diagnosed with Lupus & Hughes Syndrome and these conditions (amongst other things) affect my joints and muscles, especially in my legs....

Thank you for reading my page and PLEASE sponsor me, any amount AT ALL will help...it really will :-)

Love to you all, Love Sarah x

TWINS FOREVER xx

UPDATE 26th January 2010

Thank you to everyone that has donated to my page in my twin "Stephens memory"

The amount raised so far is much more than i ever expected so i have now raised my TARGET to £2,000 :-)

In Febuary i will be holding a "Clothes Swapping Party" to raise even more money for "The Mental Health Foundation"

At the moment i am training 4-5 times a week @ 3K per session. It has been tough and painfull but i will complete the 10K on the day...even if i come last !

UPDATE 10th Febuary 2010

My training is coming along now :-) I am now running 5K 3-4 times a week and have started going out on the road !
