Story
After a close family member was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, I have decided to take on a personal challenge.
In November 2011 I will be doing a 110km trek from Siem Reap to Angkor Wat, in Cambodia. The trek will be through paddy-fields, dense forests and villages little-changed for centuries to the sacred Phnom Kulen mountain– the highest point for miles at 487m. We will then climb the mountain and camp at the top, before continuing on to Angkor Wat. This is a hot and dusty challenge, with most nights being spent camping in the Cambodian outdoors.
