We are the only Masjid in our town and operate out of flat above a local restaurant. Due to the shortage of space we do not have enough room for our all members. Please help us fund for our first official premises so that we can be more inclusive.

Story

Haverfordwest is the market town of Pembrokeshire, a county located in South West Wales. According to the 2011 census, Haverfordwest has the highest number of Muslim residents in Pembrokeshire. It is a popular holiday destination for Muslim families as it is very close to the Pembrokeshire coastline. The closest neighbouring mosques are located in Milford haven (8 miles away) and Carmarthen (31 miles away). The prayer room is used to its full capacity on Fridays, during the night prayers in Ramadan and for Eid prayers.

I feel as a young female Muslim woman that a bigger mosque with dedicated facilities for women and children would be hugely welcomed to all the local community as we could have more youth activities, events which more people could attend in a bigger mosque.

About the campaign

We are the only Masjid in our town and operate out of flat above a local restaurant. Due to the shortage of space we do not have enough room for our all members. Please help us fund for our first official premises so that we can be more inclusive.

About the charity

Our current mosque consists of a flat above a restaurant. It does not have the capacity to cater for our women, children and community related activities. As our numbers are growing, we need larger premises that can meet the needs of our members and serve as a hub for the whole community.
