My late husband Roy and I received invaluable support from Cavendish Cancer Care, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer. 

As anyone who has lived with Cancer can understand it’s not only the physical effects that are hard to deal with but also the emotional strain. The reflexology sessions that Roy received enhanced his life immeasurably, easing his pain he was able to live life to the full on his own terms and we were able to continue enjoying our life together.

After Roy passed away the team at the Cavendish Centre in Sheffield provided me with emotional healing enabling me to continue my life with positive and happy memories.

I am by no means a cyclist, proven by my first ride ending with a broken bone and resulting in me spending the first 6 weeks of training complete with a hand in plaster. But your support with this challenge is a way of me giving back so that others can receive the support that was so meaningful to myself and Roy.

£500 provides 20 cancer patients with individual reflexology sessions

£1,000 will also keep a therapy room open for 5 months

£2,300 - Reaching this goal will not only achieve the above but will also provide 3 children with individual play therapy programmes
