We preserve and share Austen's special home to promote her inspirational work & legacy
Story
Open to the public year round; Jane Austen's House Museum is a Grade 1 listed building featuring many areas of specific historical interest; as well as being the home of the world famous author.
Jane lived at the cottage from 1809 to 1817 and it is here where she wrote, revised and had published all her major works.
Historical buildings require much care and attention and your donations will help ensure we can continue to look after Jane's home.
