Story

On the morning of Wednesday 3rd June 2020 we all awoke to the heartbreaking news of the disaster caused by Cyclone Nisarga. All the northern Districts of Kokan have been badly affected as this was where the cyclone made landfall. Thus across the Kokan region are reports of no electricity, no mobile/telephone access, alot of damage including to homes and masjids, due to fallen trees, blown away roof tops as well as limited access to water.

As you will all be aware the Kokni masajids of the UK have all come together to help raise funds for an emergency response. The fundraising efforts are ongoing and we are asking everyone to help raise a pledge of £5000 from Masjid E Saliheen.

An emergency Cyclone Nisarga Recovery and Restoration Project for Kokan India to support the local residents and facilitate restoration and recovery from the damage to livelihoods and infrastructure caused by Cyclone Nisarga has been setup and we humbly request your generous donations.
