Fundraising for Leeds Mind
I have completed a challenge in memory of my Dad who died on 31st October 2021.
Between Tuesday 9th May to Tuesday 31st October (175 days) I walked the equivalent of Land's End to John O’Groats, that’s a 1083.8 mile road trip, via a virtual challenge.
It worked out at around 6.19 miles a day. Some of the walking was my day-to-day walks, some were more specific events and challenges:
I am raising money for Leeds Mind in memory of my Dad, Geoff Clark. My Dad died of an overdose following many years battling serious mental illness. Leeds Mind supported my Dad and provided him with care and solace, particularly with the support group. Charities that support those with mental conditions are essential and I intended for this challenge to highlight the work they do and raise much needed funds.
This challenge seemed overwhelming yet achievable and I was supported by incredible friends and family along the way.
