Seven weeks training are nearly finished and this is now the week before the run, training has gone slowly but surely and given another three months I am sure that I would be ready. The vaseline, go faster earing, lycra and Sunderland survival guide to the ready I will be off chasing the red arrows!
This year I am running the Great North Run for the Fiona Dolan Fund. Most of you will know Fiona as the inspirational, energetic and wonderful friend, Dr, Mum, Wife and much more who died last year aged just 36 of a brain tumour. In her memory the Fiona Dolan Fund has been created and seeks to contribute to the improvement of eye health in developing countries, something Fiona was planning. I am hoping to raise as close to £1000 as possible and ideally try and beat 1hr 55!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Fiona Dolan Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please do sponsor me on behalf of Fiona!
