12th May 2018, my dad lost his fight with MSA. One of the last things i said to him was I was going to run the world for him. A promise i intend to keep. Love you forever Dad x

NEXT CHALLENGES: Angharad run’s Virtual London Marathon all the way in Leipzig Germany!!
So the past couple of years I have been training lots (as well as dieting), and managed to lose over 5 stone in weight. I think this has helped me a lot with my running. Not only do I run to keep fit, but i enjoy it so so much (mad I know)..it calms me down when i'm having a rubbish day, and puts a smile on my face when i finish. So even though I am running for a huge cause, I am also doing this for myself.
It is something I've always dreamed of.
Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a degenerative neurological disorder. MSA is associated with the degeneration of nerve cells in specific areas of the brain. This cell degeneration causes problems with movement, balance, and autonomic functions of the body such as bladder control or blood-pressure regulation.
Not many people have heard of MSA, since it is so rare and pretty hard to diagnose (it often gets mis-diagnosed for Parkinson's). This is why we want to shout it from the roof tops and share as much knowledge as humanly possible!
We have experienced the pain MSA causes first hand, as my dad had been battling this condition for a number of years now. He is, and always will be, a fighter. MSA took him from us 12th May 2018.
Please take the time to google Multiple System Atrophy Trust, or visit their website:

Because 5 minutes of your time will spread the awareness of this disease throughout the nation.
