About Bright Lights
Purpose of the club is to provide Two hours of respite care for parents and carers who have a child or children with special needs.
Bright Lights aims to provide a safe, secure, stimulating environment for children with Special needs.
All members of the committee, children and carers are valued and respected as individuals.
All children are encouraged to develop respect for themselves and for others.
Good behaviour is actively promoted.
Encourage children to develop a sense of autonomy and independence.
We aim to provide a balance of activities that develop co-ordination, and interaction skills .
Enable children to have self confidence and the ability to express themselves within a safe environment.
We encourage and promote a positive approach with the children towards health and fitness, i.e. Ball games.
Personal, Social and Health Education Aspects :
We aim to help our children develop personal qualities and attitudes which include independence with mind, self discipline and respect, with consideration for others and for the community and the environment.
