Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 4th and 5th of April 2015*, Rudy is doing a sponsored bird-watch, to raise money for Freddie’s Friends, a charity which was set up in memory of Freddie Appleyard, the son of our good friends Rachel and Nooley Appleyard. Freddie’s Friends raises funds for specialist equipment, therapies, toys, short breaks and any help possible for local children in and around Hull with disabilities, life limiting illnesses and organisations associated with disabled children.
Rudy will be putting his newly developed bird-watching skills into practice at the following sites over the weekend: Coombe Abbey Park, Brandon Marsh, Middleton Lakes, and Sandwell Valley. There are two ways of sponsoring him: either sponsor him a finite sum to complete a watch at all four sites, or sponsor him per species spotted – we’ll write a blog over the weekend (posted on Facebook and the Freddie’s Friends website) to let you know how Rudy gets on. Bear in mind that he’s pretty good at it (better than his mum! – he’s got beady eyes and a brilliant memory for species identification) and may spot around 50 species (this is a bit of a guess…).
