Story

Dear friends,

If you are here, you have probably joined one my yoga classes so thank you and I hope it was of benefit to you. If you haven't joined the classes you probably are here because you are my friend, thank you for your support and feel free to join the classes if you'd like to. More info and schedule is at https://www.holanat.me/yoga

These classes started as an initiative of the RSA, with the encouragement of my wonderful colleagues, and are free of charge. However, while these are difficult and uncertain times for everyone, they are especially difficult for the most vulnerable including refugees and displaced people. So, if you can, I'd like to propose our classes together as an opportunity to recognise this and make a contribution to help. If this is a challenging moment for you please don't feel pressured or expected to do so.

So far, through these classes together we have raised and donated over 3000 GBP:

-  To Helprefugees.org supports refugees and displaced people facing extra challenges caused by COVID-19 in overcrowded and unsanitary camps.

- And to Project MAMA , a small charity providing antenatal, birth and postnatal support for female refugees and asylum-seekers and other displaced women in Bristol.

Now, as the UK immigration system becomes tougher and tougher for migrants and refugees I would like to fundraise for Migrants Organise, a charity that provides a platform where refugees and migrants can organise for power, dignity and justice. They develop leadership and open up spaces for relational, organised participation of migrants and refugees in public life.

Thank you so much, choose love
