About The Rotary Club of Manchester
As members of the Rotary Club of Manchester we are a group of men and women who want to put something back into society. For over a hundred years now we have been helping our local community, including some of the most vulnerable in our society. There are a variety of ways we have done this both by personal involvement and through fund raising for worthy local and international causes.
Examples of this work are support for night shelters to provide a safe environment for those on the streets. We are particularly keen to help and encourage and help the younger generation with youth projects in schools and academies. Nor do we neglect the elderly either, by running an old peoples club.
On the international front we have helped provide schooling, clean water and other projects in Africa and India.
This all takes money. One of our regular fund raisers is a lottery draw we have every quarter with monthly subscriptions.
