On the 15th July 2010 i embarked on a wonderful trek called the Tour Du Mont Blanc which is a 120 mile long distance walk of the Mont Blanc Massif in the Alps, circumnavigating the summit of Mont Blanc (Western Europe's highest mountain). Please check out the updated photos!! The route took me through France, Italy and Switzerland crossing valleys and high mountain passes. The walk reaches a height of 2,665 metres (8,743 feet). I completed it with my good friends Mike and Elaine and we did a combination of camping on the route and also used the wonderful alpine mountain refuges. 

This was in aid of my dear sister Isabel who sadly passed away peacefully Wednesday 23rd June 2010, after losing her fight against Ovarian Cancer having being diagnosed in Oct 2009..... She was and always will be an inspiration to me, i loved her dearly and i miss her very much and i know she would have loved this wonderful trek!  This charity is therefore very close to my heart and that of my family. i will be doing another trek in Otober called the gr221 route which is in the hills of Majorca (96 miles over 6 days!!) and continue to raise funds ....Your kind donations will be gratefully received and will help Ovarian Cancer Action.... www.ovarian.org.uk... whose aim is to improve survival rates for women with Ovarian Cancer through research, awareness and accurate and early detection.... please visit the website to learn more.
