Story
If you know me, you may know I have done a few challenges for the Rosie May Foundation which was co-founded by my Auntie Mary and Uncle Graham to create a living legacy for their daughter, and my cousin, Rosie May who was brutally murdered age 10 💜
Together, we've raised over £2M in the last 17 years to give children who have been hit by crisis a future; a future that Rosie was tragically denied. The last 18 months have been challenging for us all, but for the people we support, it is ongoing and we do not yet know the full impact of the pandemic. Now, more than ever, those who are vulnerable need our help.
I like to undertake challenges that I know are going to be a significant challenge for me. A few years back I salsa'd my way to straight 10s in the Rosie May Strictly Come Dancing competition! If you sponsored me then, thank you. I could not have done it without you!
And now I need your support for what is going to be an even greater challenge! Going dry. For 3 months... 😬
Disclaimer!! I'm not an alcoholic. But... I've never taken part in a dry January, I am very easily tempted to frequent the pub on a Friday, Saturday (or Sun-Thurs) night, and I don't think I've ever given my liver a proper sustained rest since I turned the legal drinking age! Well now, I'm turning 30... So I thought it's time. Going teetotal for 3 months is going to be hard. And I know I'm only going to be able to do it with your help!
I want to go alcohol-free for 3 months starting the 12th September and finishing on my 30th Birthday on 12th December. And I want to raise £1,000 for the Rosie-May foundation doing it. But I'd never ask you for something I wasn't willing to give myself, so if I raise my target of £1,000 I'll donate a further £500 myself.
Please donate what you can 🙏🏻 Your support is needed now more than ever because the families we support need us more than ever 💜
Much 💜 to each and everyone of you for your ongoing support. I know that Rosie May will be thanking you too 💜
