Message from Theresa Cameron:
My darling husband, Roger John Cameron died on the 21st of January 2021.
Roger really was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to our very large family.
Roger had a serious lung condition called COPD stage 4. This illness robbed him of so much and he suffered badly over the years. To see a loved one fighting for every breath is literally heartbreaking.
The condition prevented Roger from living the life that he wanted to live and stopped him from going to visit his friends or do any of the 'normal' things everyone likes to do.
This illness not only affected Roger but if also affected his whole family and friends who had to watch his suffering.
.It is ironic that the same condition also took the lives of Roger's mother and father as well as my own father and stepmother.
Then in January Roger was diagnosed with Covid and this was the end for the love of our life.
The impact of Roger's death has been devastating however, we would like something positive to come out of this.
We are asking if you would be willing to make a small donation in Roger's memory to one of the following two organisations.
The first one being 'The British Lung Foundation'. We need more research into serious lung conditions and more support for patients and their families.
The foundation are doing a wonderful job but as with all things, they need more funding to get to where we need to be.
The other charity is called Jigsaw4U who support children who have experienced loss and bereavement. Roger loved children especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. This charity may help them to learn to cope with their loss of Roger in the future.
Covid has affected many, many families, in particular children who may have lost a loved one to this virus. Please, if you possibly can, make a donation to this charity in Roger's memory.
We want to thank you all in advance and to let you all know how much we appreciate your support.
Many Thanks
Theresa Cameron and Family.
