We are working in West Dorset to support cancer sufferers locally

Story

Right from Sue's diagnosis, the care and compassion that she received from the team at Dorset County Hospital could not be faulted.

Sue was able to receive most of her appointments and care at her local hospital which was an easy 15 minutes from home, which made a very difficult time a bit more bearable. Until a few years ago these facilities would not have been available, however due to the efforts of the Fortuneswell Cancer Trust and other generous benefactors the new cancer centre opened in 2018.

This in just one of the many projects that in the last 20 years the charity has supported to improve the quality of cancer care to patients in the surrounding area.

We would love your support in contributing to this amazing charity as a small way of recognising the efforts of the NHS staff who  have continued this amazing care despite the additional pressures of the  pandemic.
