We help families going through Cancer to pay bills, and fund everyday items

Story

This year has been extremely difficult for everybody, but especially so for the hard-working charities out there. To help I have decided to take on my most difficult challenge to date. On the 15th to the 19th June 2021 I will be playing 4 rounds of golf for 5 straight days. I will have to play around 2000 golf shots and walk 130 miles taking over 16 hours of each day.

This will be a very painful 5 days but I know with your support I will get through it with a great sense of achievement, it will be well worth the pain.

I have always wanted to carry on helping people in need after my Dad passed away, he was a very caring and charitable man that always helped people, one way or another he would find time to help.

In 2016 I played 16 rounds of golf and raised £17,800 . With some of the money raised we were so privileged to have taken 57 HHHO cancer centre users on a trip to London to see the West end Show Mamma Mia. We also had a night out to the Hippodrome to see the same show for another 20 cancer centre users.

The thing that struck me the most is that I found that our friends at the centre were so happy and excited to have something different to look forward to.

In 2018 at Enville golf club, 17 members and friends joined me to walk 18 miles and then play 18 holes of golf. We were delighted with the support given to us all and we managed to raise £21,340 again for Help Harry help others.

2020 was a difficult year for many reasons, but this year I am really excited to make up for the year lost and to help some of the charities that have struggled through. I have a team this time around to help me get though this challenge and I would like to thank them all for their support.

***Please note *** The organisers wishes are that from the total monies raised including gift aid, HHHO would retain 25% of the funds and distribute the remaining balance evenly between The Alzheimer’s society (25%)  The Enville Golf Club Captains Charites (25% split between Clover Leaf communities group & Birmingham Childrens Hospital) with the remaining 25% of funds are to be donated to the Holly Hughes Fundraiser. As Holly is not a registered charity gift aid can not be claimed on her donations, these funds will be raised through crowdfunding through a separate just giving page.

Help Harry Help Others Cancer centre,

Georgina and her team do so much to support people that are affected by cancer. Harry was an inspiration at such a young age, and he made a difference to a lot of people and would be proud of the work his mum is doing. We will always do our bit to help the centre.

The Holly Hughes Fundraiser

My friends beautiful daughter Holly has been diagnosed with of Leukaemia for the second time in her life at 6 years of age. During her first battle of which she endured over 2 years of treatment her farther Chris had to stop work in his business and took a large financial burden. He has spent the last few years building the business and now he has left the business to care for Holly once more. Holly is extremely brave and an inspiration to us all and we want to help Holly and the Hughes family in any way we can.

The Alzheimer’s Society

I never really understood how devastating Dementia and is and how many people it affects. The Alzheimer’s Society do some incredible work to help people and support communities affected especially during the coronavirus pandemic where vulnerable people need even more support.

The Captains Charites at Enville Golf club – Clover leaf community group & Birmingham Children’s Hospital

Clover leaf, Stourbridge - “Clover Leaf is a day provision for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. In our arts & crafts sessions we offer sewing, rug making, painting, clay modelling, woodencrafts, glass painting and much more. On our social day we play darts, skittles, bingo, board games, play your cards right, have quizzes and karaoke. We also go out into the community to enhance the students knowledge and understanding of the creational industry. We use our mini bus for social events to enable students to gain confidence in the community”

Birmingham Children’s Hospital. No introduction needed we all know the work that they do help local children.

I would love for you all to support me on the crazy challenge to help raise some much needed funds, Thank you and I appreciate all of your support.
