"Saving the World." A well meaning, oft attempted plight.

Yet, figuring out what it actually means is tough, let alone doing it. Then we stumbled upon these chaps called The Adventurists who are having a good old go with their take on it; "We must save every rainforest in the world so future generations have somewhere to get stuck”, they tell us. And we thought, 'Yeah, you're right'. That's what life is about, the thrill of the unknown, the unexpected.

So that's what we're going to do: save the planet, and get lost. A lot.

Where and how, you might ask. Good questions. We thought you were smart. India, the Asiatic subcontinent, home to more coloured powder than you can shake your fist at, and more maniacal roads than you can.... Well, shake your fist at.

We're going to take on roughly 2,500km of them, through endless deserts, coastal roads, remote villages and a bit of illustrious jungle. Not content with that challenge alone, we're also going to be attempting the feat in a couple of haphazard, half-horsepower, glorified lawnmowers: Rickshaws.

We've been warned collisions, cows and breakdowns [mental and motoring] are all inevitable as we attempt the "Rickshaw Run". So, we are going to need your support, figuratively and financially.

Given we are not real heroes, to gain that extra modicum of bravery we're just going to have to pretend; Indiana Jones hats, whips and wordplay at the ready; the full adventurers' regalia. Where you come in is that we have a spare seat, awaiting a 6th man of your choosing.

Effectively, you have the chance to saddle us with anything from a cactus to an inflatable cowboy, and we'll have to kart it across India. That way you can be there both in spirit and [most likely] inconvenient company.

Naturally, we'll send plenty of photos, films and fanmail from your suggested representative, and ensure they're well looked after [we'll try...]. All donations have a chance of winning, and we'll gamify it so that every pound donated counts towards one ballot entry. [we will buy the item].

The winner will be unveiled, and in accompaniment on December 17th live from our last team training session [ahem, the darts....]
