About Prisoners' Penfriends
Prisoners' Penfriends organises pen-friendships between prisoners and volunteer correspondents from outside prison, ensuring the confidentiality and safety of the volunteers. These friendships help prisoners by relieving their loneliness, giving them companionship and hope (which may sometimes prevent dangerous depression) and keeping them in touch with life outside the prison gates.
