As we are entering Pride Month I wanted to use this time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and raise money for the ‘Micro Rainbow’ charity.

For each day of pride, I will post on my Instagram Story (@hireece) information of a different figure (what I have decided to call my ‘Pride Muses’). These will be people that I feel have particularly influenced the LGBTQ+ community and/or my own queerness in some way.

I have collaborated with several artists, LGBTQ+ and allies and throughout the month, I will share artworks they have produced  (coinciding with my own daily posts) on my social media to honour these muses.

I have set up this page where I would like to raise money for the LGBTQ+ charity ‘Micro Rainbow’. 

Micro Rainbow is a safe house charity that provides care and shelter for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers who have arrived in the UK. The charity also provides guidance and support for these people to help them start their new life.

These ‘Pride Muses’ I will share will be people that have affected/ interested me in many different ways both directly and indirectly and may identify with various sections of our community.
