We offer practical, emotional & peer support to anyone impacted by a pituitary condition

Story

An online petition was brought to our attention recently and we simply had to intervene. We want this to be the first of many training courses but we require funding to make this happen.

Isabella Park, aged 11, has a rare condition called panhypopituitarism meaning that she doesn't produce hormones properly. Her mother, Kelly Park had fears that her daughter wouldn't be safe at school as staff are unable to administer life-saving treatment despite them being willing as they needed training. If Isabella was to have an accident she needs to have an emergency injection to stop her from going into shock.  Because of Isabella’s condition if she were to break a bone or have a vomiting episode she needs that  injection immediately.  Staff at St Gregory’s School had said that
they would be happy to receive training but the NHS refused to deliver the training and as such Kelly started a petition which received over 91,000 signatures.

Despite the school staff showing willingness nobody seemed willing to provide the training and it was at this point that WE stepped in by offering to close our Nurse Helpline for a day so that Darshna could deliver the necessary training.

We now want to roll this out to schools across the UK that need it and we want your help to help us fund this.

Education of pituitary conditions is one of our strategic objections and it's one of the main reasons that we exist. Please help us to help pituitary patients and donate now
