Stefan's Raising Money for Headway
Fundraising for Headway Birmingham and Solihull
Fundraising for Headway Birmingham and Solihull
First of all, thank you for visiting this page.
For those that don't know my story, on the 10th of December 2022, I received a phone call telling me my dad had been attacked on his way home from work and had received a traumatic brain injury. He was rushed to intensive care at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham where he remained until the 14th. Unfortunately on the 14th, we had to remove his ventilator, as it was clear his brain stem was dead.
My dad's wishes were always that he'd want to donate his organs. But due to the police investigation, we weren't allowed to fulfil this. So instead, we have decided to raise money for Headway, the brain injury association, in the hope that by raising awareness of brain injuries, and just how easy it is to receive one, hopefully, we can all help save a life.
A little bit about Headway:
To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.
