Story

Hi All

I thought long and hard about (a) asking for sponsorship and (b) who to support

I think the IronMan represents probably the biggest physical and mental challenge in my life up to this point so I feel reasonably justified in asking for your sponsorship (2.4 M swim 112 M bike and 26 M run) - I would just ask that if the unthinkable happens and I dont finish it then you still give the money as I have trained to finish this thing!!

As for the who to support there are many great and worthy charities out there but I think many people know someone who has been effected by dementia in particular Alzheimers

Its estimated that it effects 1 in 16 over the age of 65 and 1 in 6 over the age of 80 with 16000 sufferers under the age of 65.

There is no known cure + its unclear what factors actually cause it.

Please support the great work that Alzheimers society do.

Thanks

Phil
