Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Christine and I enjoyed 42 happy years of marriage and spent many holidays walking in the British Isles and Austria. Christine was diagnosed too late with APS in 2005 but sadly passed away in January 2015.

In view of the effect that this condition had on Christine, I decided that I would help to raise awareness of APS and take on an epic journey to raise funds for our charity, in order to help others.

I had planned to walk the Scillies to the Shetlands, during 2017,  got as far as Preston and had to give up, due to a significant knee problem, which sadly now prevents me from completing the remaining 1,000 miles.

So I will travel around the Coast of Britain, by train, calling at various places to spread awareness of APS to Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs. The trip will be done in stages, during 2018/19
