We're holding our annual Showdown event on Saturday 13th November 2021 to celebrate the strength, resilience and community spirit of our members at Performance Project .

The Showdown is one of our most popular social events and it is a great opportunity to bring everyone together and have some fun.

We will be raising money to support the Sussex branch of the mental health charity Mind, the work of which is invaluable for many people in the region.

Mental health services are vital all the time but over the past 18 months they have been more in demand than ever due to the impact of Covid-19 and the long term effects that have been caused by several lockdowns, restrictions on our freedom of movement, loneliness and the losses suffered by many.

At Performance Project we understand the importance of positive mental health and strive to help people live their best lives. On Saturday 13th November, two teams of coaches and members will be taking on a challenge of completing five workouts across five hours - with each workout starting on the hour. And they're going to be tough!

While the workouts are going on, we will also have two rowers going continuously throughout the morning with the aim of rowing the distance from PP to Brighton and back over the five hours.

Members, friends, family and kids are all welcome to take part in the rowing race and it can be as short or as long as you like. We just need to get those time slots filled and kms covered so get your name down!

We are also holding a bake sale so we need all our bakers to come out in full force and bake your best creations to be sold on the day! (Even if you’re not a star baker feel free to give it a go … we won’t be voting anyone out!).
