Peer 2 Peer International is a capacity buidling education initiative for sustainable tourism practices in developing countries.
The programme began in The Gambia in 2007 and facilitates mutually benneficial exchanges between 'hosts and guests'. Students and visitors work alongside local participants to learn and develop together projects to enhance the community and its economy to be implemented in the chosen locality.
The money raised by Peer 2 Peer is used to ensure access of the various programmes by the local population and for seed funding of the most promising and benneficial programmes.
