Welcome to our JustGiving page, raising funds for the people of Ukraine. The great thing about this campaign – if you can cycle, then you can help!
Empire Heroes Fund has partnered with Daley Thompson CBE and his team at Daley Fitness gym to help raise essential funds for Ukraine. The idea is simple, just get on your bike and join the team cycling from Daley Fitness in Putney to the centre of Kyiv - 1,512 miles.
The event launched on Saturday 12th March 2022 at Daley Fitness in Putney where the team along with gym members and guests jumped onto the exercise bikes and covered just over 1,000 miles in a day raising £2,475. The team will be completing the the final 500 miles on Saturday 26th March 2022 so please come along and peddle! - Daley Fitness at 215, Upper Richmond Rd, London SW15 6SY
We now need you - we are looking for the fit and not so fit to set up your own personal or team virtual bike rides from Putney to Kyiv. Why not challenge your friends or colleagues to race to Kyiv? We have a team of 10 school friends who have challenged 10 teachers to a race. The campaign is being organised by the Empire Heroes Fund, which is run by five Wandsworth friends and was initially set up to support the NHS Covid ITU teams in the peak of the Covid crisis.
We selected DEC because they are an umbrella charity for 15 of the largest UK agencies. DEC distribute funds based on the capacity of each of the 15 agencies to deliver thereby ensuring that all donations are allocated and spent in the most effective way.
