Story
The Christie Hospital provides a unique mix of cancer care and research. The care serves a regional community which has seen a number of friends leave the hospital able to say they have survived the disease, others are still receiving treatment. In addition to treatment, the calibre of research makes it one of the leading UK powerhouses in the development of new treatments.
Very local and nationally relevant.
The challenge itself has me worried, I can do active but this looks to be attrition. The idea of being sponsored will make sure that I can't quit and a broken man will turn up, on a bike, to the front door of The Christie!! I cycle unaided from Bilbao airport, out of Spain, along the west coast of France, crossing to Plymouth, up through Bristol, nip into Wales before getting to the hospital's front door.
11 days and 1,000 miles.
