Story
We are a group of walkers, led by Children in Scotland CEO, Dr Judith Turbyne. For the first time we will be taking part in this brilliant Scottish challenge to raise vital funds for charity. the the work we do with children and young people across Scotland.
It is properly tough across Scotland at the moment. The children and young people we are working with and for are at the sharp end of austerity and the long-term impacts of the pandemic.
We do some fantastic work such as working directly with children and young people all over Scotland in fun and inclusive ways and making sure their views are heard. We also run important services for young learners who are entitled to additional support.
The challenging times are also affecting us directly, making it more difficult for us to do as much as we want to for those we are working with and for.
So, staff members and other supporters are getting together to walk the Kiltwalk. We want to do our bit to support the work of the charity by getting the hiking boots on and going for a walk. We will take part in both the Dundee and Edinburgh walks.
You can join us if you want, the more the merrier. If you feel you would like to do that, just get in touch with Tracy on thope@childreninscotland.org.uk.
We will update you as we go. 🥳
