We are looking to refurbish laptops for needy kids. If you have a laptop you want to donate or if you don't, but want to provide some financial assistance (we are likely to have costs for replacement hard disks or power supplies if any are found faulty, electrical testing, software licences, sanitising surfaces etc)

We will wipe the hard drive (HD) clean - though we cannot provide certification - or we will take laptops without hard disks.

We ask that they be in working condition, with no bare wires on the chargers or cracked screens.

We will aim to install lubuntu or reuse Windows 10 on the laptops.

Any additional funding after the appeal will be ring fenced for educational activities from the hackspace.
